Return of the Crack-Loving Bebe
Thursday, July 30, 2009
I recently bought a few wigs on Ebay, they are for, uh, Halloween, yep, Halloween. I thought it would be fun for me to see how the bebe would look with hair since hers is taking so long to come in. She, the girl who loves hats, did not like the fake hair. Probably because it was made in China by kids who are probably her age. I had to ply her with chocolate to get her to try one on. It stayed on as long as the mouthful of melty coco goodness remained and was then unceremoniously flung off until more chocolate was forthcoming.
Lest you think I dabble in hyperbole.
And to prove that this trading all kinds of favours for chocolate is a family-wide problem, we have Exhibit B.
Me: Hey Josh, put this wig on.
Josh: Eeew, no.
Me: Want some delicious Ritter Sport Chocolate.
Josh: Gimmee the wig.
Seriously, I am such a good mom.
OMG, the bebe looks like a pageant kid in that wig!!!! Actually, so does Josh, just a little. You know, kids can make some serious coin at those pageants. And in these uncertain economic times...
I dabble in hyperbole.
I thought for a sec that was her real hair and I was thinking of calling off the wedding.
Wigs always freak me out. My brother had all these old wigs that were my great grandmother's and would wear them all the time. I get the creeps just thinking about it.
Cute kids though! Despite the wigging.
I just hated how my grandma's old wigs started smelling like old chocolate after a few years of abuse by us kids. I'd also like to give props to my brother for having yet to wear a wig. Um, that I'm aware of anyway.
What a good sport your kids are.
This reminded me of a wig party I went to. I love wigs. All parties should be wig parties.
She is gorgeous!
love this!
HAHAHA! I like your style, lady - your bribing style!
(although the, um, Halloween accessories are pretty sweet, too!)
I think the blonde suits her more.
I'd pay good chocolate to see these "Halloween" costumes you speak of.
Whenever the BA and I go to the Show (Fair?) the one thing we both love to do is go to the fake hair stand!! We have dreadlocks, blonde and red curls and a kind of Bride of Frankenstein creation. All for about $6.00 each! Sweeeeet. The bebe is definitely a blonde.
