Why Don't We Do It In the Road

I got lambasted the other day for being too negative, I know, I know, I need to get over it already but that's not one of my strong suits. It's bugging me in part because I know who she is. I've only been doing this since May and I don't have that many readers so it's easy enough to find out who's online at the time a comment is logged and guess what, you were the only person on the site at that time, so anonymous you are not. Anyhow, I digress, last time I'll mention it.

So in my ongoing effort to be more positive I'll relate to you the best thing that happened to me yesterday. My husband and I had spontaneous, hot, rockin sex. It was the second time this week. Our bebe's sleeping consistently, oh how that helps. And a good time was had by all. In fact I had a good time twice thank you very much. So technically, I'm winning right, but who's keeping score? I am, I am. Maybe that's all I needed to turn my frown upside down, how's that for positive?

Occasionally I have detractors, presumably regular readers, who like to tell me that I'm too negative.WTF? "Doc's Sunrise Rants"- is it "Doc's Sunshine and Rainbows"? No. Is your blog named "Lots of Fun Right Now"? No.Tell 'em off. There's like 10 bazillion happy blogs out there.Your readers appreciate your "edge".

I love your blog! Since I've been accused of being to negative myself, I can relate. That being said, I live by two rules:
1. The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who haven't got it.
2. If you don't have anything nice to say, come over and sit by me.

doc- you're right, I love your blog in part b/c you can be a bit cantankerous and I'm guessing, completely yourself.

heatherw-

thanks and like your tenets. I'll add that I like to write stuff that I think is funny and funny isn't usually found in the nice and sweet and serendipitious, it's schadenfreude and mishaps and when things go as unplanned that the funny wells up.

It's when things get hard that you thank god you have a sense of humour to deal with it, jaded may it be.

Plus, I love people who cover a wide array of psychological issues with humor as a defense mechanism--I can relate.

SD, Really, you shouldn't be grinning, because I'm the one that won:) remember? BTW thanks for that.

Life is not always friggin sunshine and skittles, and we don't all crap rainbows!!!!

You keep doing what you're doing, and let the readers take care of themselves. I'm sure you are the same as me in that you write your blog for you, and the satisfaction of some passers-by reading your blog is a nice side effect.

I love your blog - "negativity" and all.

PS. Commenting anonymously is the sign of a truly insecure pansy anyway...

Twice? In less than a weeK?

Not only are you overly negative, now you're a braggart too!

look it me: i'm scrolling down and stuff.

my SISTERS no less said virtually the same exact thing to me and then added that their way cooler friends thought so too: does she hate her husband? does she hate her kids? does she hate her LIFE?

um no beyotches. if i did, i probably wouldn't bother spending the time to write it all down. i would probably be out bar hopping or riding the rails.

which is a long way of saying: i hear you.
